Saturday Fun Day in Cebu Westown Lagoon at Mandaue City, Cebu

I've planned on having a backpacking adventure in the south of Cebu together with Jane last Saturday, September 13, 2014. But we had a last-minute changed of the plan.

Her sister told her that they're going to try a newly launched resort in Mandaue City that same day. So the backpacking plan is going to be postponed. And the good thing is I was invited to join them. Hahaha, shoot!

The newly launched resort that Jane's sister ate Jona is referring to is Cebu Westown Lagoon that is located in the heart of Mandaue City. The entrance of the resort is beside MO2  Resto Bar and occupies the entire back portion of the bar. Though the resort is not that big, kids will surely love their kiddie water park. They had their soft-launching last August 25, 2014, and the grand launching was September 12, 2014, the day before we were there.

Cebu Westown Lagoon Water Park in Mandaue City, Cebu

That day was such a gloomy day. The weather is so cloudy and sometimes had a rain-stop-rain event that makes the gloomy weather more gloomy. Hahaha, what's with the more gloomy? I guess that's way more gloomy than me. ^^

Anyways, we came early that day, we arrived in Cebu Westown Lagoon around 7:30 in the morning. Great cause I've got a lot of time taking photos to include in this blog post without people crowding the place. Though the sky is a little dark because of the not-so-good weather, the place still looks great.

An Aztec-like theme as you enter the place.

An array of cottages near the kiddie pool.

Kids will this Water Park.

The main building and the main pool.

The main pool is landscaped with boulders.

Inside the gazebo in the middle of the pool. Nice!

A line of lounge chairs in front of the main pool.

Here are the Aztec temple-designed slides. Cool!

The view on the top of the slide.

Wondering about this nice place. Char, hahaha!

It was a Saturday fun day in Cebu Westown Lagoon together with great people. Jane and her sister with the two chubby chikitings. And some of Ate Jjona's friends, ate Gina ate Jackie.

Jane, Ate Jona and her two chubby kiat chikitings Sheena & Janus.

From right to left, Ate Jona, Ate Gina, and Ate Jackie. Nice meeting you guys!

    1. Maybe you have a high standard for pools. It's their rule and you need to follow it. And it's a given that you can't really wear cotton clothing all the time on pools because it does block the filters, it's a fact. Even sophisticated pool system also have this problem but sometimes underwear is an exemption because they can't just ask you to remove it, they do know some are wearing cotton undies. They just want to minimize the blocking of the filters due to wearing of cotton cloth.

Aside from the maintenance aspect of the pool system, wearing of cotton cloth is prohibited for pools open to public for the public's health and safety. Maybe you're confident that you're wearing clean cotton cloth and undies but how about the people next to you? We don't want illnesses to spread so WE need to follow rules and proper pool attire. ^^

    2. But I think she is right, they should orient the guest before lettings them in the pool and not calling their attention by whistle when the guest it's already in the pool or they could talk to her without using whistle, they should think about the guest feelings too. That's rude and embarrassing of what they doing and it seems like they are proud of it when they embarrass the guest.
but I'm still going there this weekend and I'm excited to it. I don't have a problem wearing bikini

    3. I think I'm going to agree with you both when it comes to guests feelings because I'm also one of their guest. It so happen that I'm used to wearing proper pool attire.

Enjoy this weekend. Break a neck with your bikini! Hahah.

    4. Actually, that is every pools rules and regulations. we have to obey. maybe the staff dont know what customer service is all about. maybe they still need training how to handle customers or guest.

  2. why is it everytime I'll call at the contact numbers you posted, no one will answer?!? Is that how you treat customers with plenty of questions to be raised? do you really have a staff in the front desk to answer all the queries and calls of the customer? Tried to contact your hotel for some queries but unfortunately, no one answered my call.

    1. Just so you know, I'm not the owner of the resort. I was one of their guest when the resort newly opened and this post is an opinionated blog of my experience there. Try contacting them again. Good luck!

  3. Worst service ever, worst staff attitude, worst management, zero customer satisfaction rating. I can bear with paying the Php300 fee, but I will not and cannot tolerate rudeness especially with my kids around. If you don't want your pool to get messy or dirty then don't build a business where people/children care less about cleanliness but pay more attention to enjoyment and satisfaction. Isn't it what we pay for? the enjoyment? the experience? and you ruined it by saying "Ayaw mo pag hugaw-hugaw kay wala mi staff mag sunod sunod ninyo". I'm sure there is a proper venue for proper decorum/etiquette. But I beg to disagree that a fun-fulled swimming pool and park is one of it. Very not recommend if you want to have fun!

  6. Love your review! Thank you very much for the Cebu travel post :) I've been looking for a place in Cebu to stay in because my family will be on Cebu for Christmas. I saw a list of budget hotels in Cebu on http://www.webbline.com/budget-hotels-in-cebu/ and it was really helpful as well as your review :))
